Bremont Watch Company makes a pit stop on their English Road Tour

Bremont Watch English TourIs there anything better than luxury sports cars and fine watches in one place at the same time?  Didn’t think so. And if you find the idea of the two together an irresistible combination, let me invite you to the ultimate event at Windsor Jewelers in Winston-Salem. Now, I don’t want to sound like I’m making a sales pitch here, but let me give you some of the basic info. On Friday, September 15th from 5-8 pm, the co-founders of Bremont watches, Nick and Giles English, will be here as part of their #EnglishTour.Bremont_Blog_2

In celebration of all things British they are driving a 1970 Series II E-Type Jaguar, restored by their late father, and Giles’ 1973 Porsche 911T. Their journey will take them over 3,300 miles from New York to Houston, stopping at our Winston-Salem store on the way. They’ll be joined by our friends from Foreign Cars Italia and Jaguar Greensboro, who will be bringing some eye candy of their own.

Bremont_Blog_3Nick and Giles will give us a little history about Bremont watches and bring with them a collection of their finest timepieces which includes the Limited Edition Bremont Wright Flyer.  This ultimate aviation-inspired watch is mechanically outstanding and incorporates a piece of the original fabric from the 1903 Wright Flyer aircraft flown by the Wright brothers on their historic first flight at Kitty Hawk.Bremont_Blog_4

The Wright Flyer also features a 25 jewel, 33.4mm movement with 50+ hour power reserve, Glucydur balance and a hairspring adjusted via a micro-metric screw. Utterly reliable and extremely robust, the BWC/01 movement is elegant and beautifully finished, with a central hour and minute hand and a running second hand at 9 o’clock.

All timepieces by this award-winning British luxury watch company have been inspired by a love and passion for aviation, engineering and adventure.

To quote our British friends, “don’t be a sad arse, join us for this smashing event!”
