Limited to 500 pieces, the Wild ONE Hakuna Mipaka has a black dial stamped with a lion fur pattern. It has a black NORTEQ case with a marbled effect. The sand-coloured rubber shock absorber is speckled with grains of red sand from the Hakuna Mipaka oasis in South Africa where Dean Schneider has built a sanctuary for different wildlife species. The rubber bumper covers the titanium container that houses the NN20/1 Manufacture Calibre and is visible between the NORTEQ protective cage. The hour, minute and seconds hands are skeletonised, like for all other watches in the Independence collection. This model is available with a black vegan-certified rubber strap decorated with a powerful lion fur pattern. The caseback is engraved with an important message: “We need to learn to love them exactly the way they are and not the way we wish them to be!”
